Tail access forward bulkhead

I've run into a bit of a puzzle. The forward bulkhead for the tail access area is a bit triangle piece of birch ply... and it isn't even close to fitting.

Most of the wood parts have needed some minor fitting, but this is by far the most of anything I've worked on so far. I shared these photos on the Kitfox forum and am waiting to hear others experience before I start carving away.
